The British Connection was opened in March of 2002 by David and Barbara Brown.

David was born and London and raised in the east coast of England in Dovercourt, where his family still live today. 

Barbara is from Huntingdon Valley, PA and Ocean City, NJ.

Barbara met David while living in London in 1992, they married in 1993 in Wandsworth Town and relocated to the USA in 1994.  Deprived of proper tea and real bacon,they made the fanciful decision to open a British shop in their adopted town of Smithville, NJ.  Thanks to the wnderful support of the Brits, Irish and Americans in the surrounding communities, The British Connection is celebrating its 5th year!
